Since our independence in 1971, civil society organizations have been at the heart of Bangladesh’s national journey, alongside the government. While resources from our government and international partners continue to flow into the development sector i.e poverty reduction, gender justice, disaster response, environment and climate change etc, deep-seated and multifaceted challenges remain, as top-down approaches to programme design and recognition of the potential of disadvantaged groups have been ignored.
